Newport Beach Kitchen

With sublime views of the ocean and Newport Beach, this bespoke kitchen renovation from the team at Dan Kitchens simply takes your breath away. The layout combines a single wall design with island, casual dining, study nook and spacious walk in pantry. Minimalist in design, appliances are concealed/integrated, handles are discreet, and the form is kept geometric and symmetrical. Apart from the gorgeous view, what stands out in this kitchen the bold material and colour palette. White Macaubas stonework, American Oak doors and shelves, and dark grey polyurethane paint combine to harmonise with the newly renovated home. The homeowners started their kitchen renovation journey by dropping into the Dan Kitchens showroom. They were met by Industrial Designer, Daniel Mazic, who, after scrutinising the architectural plans of their Newport home, suggested several ideas that the homeowners took a liking to. They then commissioned Dan Kitchens to design their kitchen, using the Design Service.
Amongst their aims for the renovations was to open up the kitchen to the outdoor alfresco area so the room would flow better, and take advantage of the amazing ocean views. The homeowners desired a more modern kitchen, with a colour scheme that was in harmony with the rest of the home. The polyurethane doors were painted in Dulux Woodland grey to match key architectural features of the home. The owners were well-travelled, having lived in many parts of the world, as such, had collected a unique set of antiques and items. It was important for the owners to have places to display these keepsakes around the home, including kitchen. Being a steep site with no elevator, during installation, access to the kitchen space on the top storey of the home was difficult. However the owners allowed the Dan Kitchens installation team use of the home’s inclinator, albeit, lifting one cabinet at a time.
