Cherrybrook Kitchen

Nestled inside a beautiful modernist home that began its charismatic existence in the 70’s, you will find this Cherrybrook Kitchen. With its grand sloping skillion roofline and modernist aesthetic, this home is the ultimate oasis for a young growing family that appreciates beautiful surroundings and clever design.
With the hope of creating an open plan living space that blurred the lines between the kitchen, dining and family rooms, this young family approached Dan Kitchens to realise their dream. Fortunately, our clients’ vision regarding materials and fine details provided a clearly defined goal for their kitchen, guiding our initial pathway towards an elegant and functional contemporary kitchen transformation.
These parameters greatly assisted Daniel Mazic, one of Dan Kitchens’ talented kitchen designers, in realising a contemporary kitchen design that greatly satisfied the clients’ desires, and neatly defined their ideal floor plan.
After working closely together with the clients, Daniel was able to generate a contemporary kitchen design that opened up the space to the adjoining living areas through the clever reconfiguration of walls, windows and doors. The resulting contemporary kitchen design largely compliments the dining and family spaces, for which the kitchen is now a part.
Daniel presented a photo-realistic render of the design to the clients, so that they could clearly envision their new luxury kitchen. Immediately falling in love with the design, they engaged with Dan Kitchens to materialise their dream through construction and installation. Remaining heavily involved throughout the whole high end kitchen renovation, Daniel ensured that the design was manufactured and installed as per the image he and the family finely tuned.
The final custom kitchen design emanates warmth, elegance and beauty through the combination of textures, modern lines, luxury appliances and minimalist style. Wood grain and marble textures work together to add detail and character to the space. The paired back colour palette is highlighted by a dark wood grain but softened by the light shelving and flooring, offering depth and sophistication.
The clean lines displayed in the ceiling trusses and existing VJ wall panelling are continued throughout the kitchen design, in order to create a look that is consistent and harmonious between each of the adjoining spaces. From the open shelving, benchtop shadowline, and splashback tiles to the routed doors and drawers, the spaces run into one another seamlessly. Keen attention has been paid to the finer details, with the routed door detail running continuously with the grout lines in the splashback.
This kitchen transformation set out to establish a welcoming space which fit harmoniously within a 70s modernist home. By developing a design which took advantage of the existing lines whilst adding depth and detail, this kitchen became a highly functional and stunning contemporary kitchen to perfectly fit this family’s distinct needs and style, undoubtedly delivering the brief.
