On par with Scandinavia’s best, the Dan Kitchens luxury kitchen showroom has for over 30 years showcased Sydney’s most refined custom kitchens and joinery, crafted in the adjoining manufacturing facility.
Spacious and elegantly appointed, the showroom is favoured by architects, interior designers and clients alike. The Dan Kitchens luxury kitchen showroom has long been on the “must-see” list for Sydney homeowners and regional visitors seeking quality workmanship and inspiration.
Why Did You Decide To Renovate Your Kitchen Showroom Sydney?
Graeme Metcalf, one of Dan Kitchen’s Designers, explained that “although we’d undertaken moderate updates to our showroom, it had been many years since our last major showroom renovation. Partner that with the fact we required more office space, it was obvious we needed to renovate.”
The big question then was as to how big of a renovation was required. Since we couldn’t build outside of the building’s envelope, we decided to create more floor space by adding a mezzanine. This meant that we could more than double our custom kitchen showroom floor space and add much-needed office space.
When Did The Renovations Start?
Our kitchen showroom Sydney renovation began back in 2017. This was a big undertaking for a busy, family-owned business like Dan Kitchens. Graeme Metcalf elaborates, “Much of the work was completed in-house by our team and our trusted tradespeople, either during rare downtime periods or during the pandemic, hence why it took five years to complete. But as our customers know, we like to do a job right, to our own high standard. There was a lot of patience among our team and our showroom visitors, but the results speak for themselves.”
What Can You Tell Us About The Displays?
All of our custom kitchen showroom displays are full-size custom kitchens, showcasing the array of styles and options we provide. Some of the displays feature quite detailed joinery, while others feature luxurious natural stone benchtops. They feature top-of-the-line appliances from luxury brands Z-Vug, Wolf, Sub-Zero, Miele and Gaggenau, just to name a few. Every display is fully decorated, even with cutlery, “the experience is like you’re exploring someone’s real kitchen”, Graeme says.
Graeme disclosed that “this showroom is quite unlike anything else in Sydney, blurring the boundary between a home and a retail space. We’re very proud of what we have achieved for our visitors, many of which travel a long way to see our showroom”.
Where Is Your Custom Kitchen Showroom Located, And Is It Easy To Get To?
The Dan Kitchens showroom Sydney, design studio and manufacturing facility are all located at 26 Prime Drive, Seven Hills. Graeme Metcalf affirms, “It’s not far from where the M2 turns into the M7, so it is convenient for most locations in Sydney. For people who live much further away, with tongue in cheek, we say it’s a lot closer than Copenhagen – the only other place you’ll find craftsmanship of this quality.”
Do I Need To Make An Appointment To View The Showroom?
Customers can explore the showroom without an appointment. However, if you need to discuss your project with a designer, making an appointment is beneficial as it guarantees a designer will be available for you. We may also allow customers to visit outside of the advertised showroom hours, provided we have a member of the Design Team available.
