We have nothing but the highest praise for the Dan Kitchens team. They installed a beautiful kitchen and laundry for us 12 years ago and it still looks as great as when it was brand new. The quality of workmanship, attention to detail, punctuality and cleanliness of their working environment is second to none. With recent renovations to our home Dan Kitchens provided expert assistance in relation to small alterations and maintenance details of the kitchen. We have never dealt with a company whose work, communication skills and attention to detail we regard as highly.

We have a small apartment kitchen. Many firms were unwilling even to give us a quote because they considered the project size (and our budget) to be too small to be worth their while. Dan Kitchens was willing to work with both, cleverly fitting all we needed into the space and keeping to our bottom line. Everyone we worked with, from Vagn, the owner of Dan Kitchens and head designer, through to the labourers on site, was polite, professional and utterly competent. Each day the team attended the site they left the kitchen cleaner than we ever do. The project was finished beautifully and on-time.

Dan Kitchens installed our kitchen many years ago and the quality/workmanship is excellent. A few weeks ago our fridge failed and we urgently needed a new. The new French Door fridges are slightly higher so we needed to modify the overhead cupboard. Vagn the managing partner personally came out to remove the overhead cupboard so we could install the new fridge. A few weeks later the modified overhead cupboard was reinstalled and it was perfect. I would recommend this excellent team without reservation.

Dan Kitchens installed a really beautiful and functional kitchen for us. Arthur, our kitchen designer, was very responsive. He always replied to our questions punctually. Greg, Mitch and Tim were very professional, tidy and courteous. It was a delight having them around and as one reviewer said, we missed them when they were gone. Vagn Madsen, the founder, is a hands on team leader. We were surprised that he was very much on top of the project and was aware of the progress of the work on our kitchen. He was quick to resolve any issues and he followed through to the solution. We also noted that his staff love their work and are very proud to work with the company. We would certainly ask Dan Kitchens to come back if we need to make any more home improvements. We highly recommend Dan Kitchens. Their customer service and finished work stand out from the rest.

My dream kitchen was meticulously designed by Vagn at Dan Kitchens. His knowledge in design and an understanding of our needs as a young family led him to design a kitchen that is both functional and practical. I was so pleased with the detail and design of the kitchen that Dan Kitchens also designed, manufactured and installed our scullery, TV entertainment unit and outdoor BBQ. The design service included electrical and plumbing plans for our builder to follow which allowed for an efficient and precise installation of the kitchen/scullery, entertainment unit and outdoor BBQ. Dan Kitchens’ team of installers were incredibly professional, polite and respectful. The level of detail and care they demonstrated in handling and installing my appliances and joinery was impressive, and very much appreciated. I am very pleased to have had Dan Kitchens be part of building our forever home.

This is not the first time we have chosen Dan Kitchens for our home project. We came across Dan kitchens back in 2006 and after our initial meeting with Vagn Madsen we knew we had come to the right place! This time round, our project was a complete rebuild of an older house located in Glenbrook (lower Blue Mountains). We started with the demo around Easter 2016 and finished 12 months later. The standard and quality in build was of primary importance with a particular focus on detail and finish. The choice for us to engage Dan Kitchens second time round was really easy and again, Vagn Madsen worked with us on the design and managed the project through his exceptional team. The scope included the kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, wardrobes and bespoke cabinetry throughout. The total spend was about 20% of the project cost and certainly was not the cheapest quote. The finish though makes such an impressive statement that accentuates the overall design and build. We both believe Vagn’s joinery experience and his attention to detail makes all the difference in the final appearance and point of difference… Without doubt It enables the house to be the best it can be! We have been using Dan Kitchens for more than fifteen years and our most recent project was the fifth. Dan Kitchens are simply the best. On the first day they came to install a large storage cupboard, we saw their commitment to quality when they spent an entire morning getting the cupboard base perfect. Today it looks as good as the day it was installed almost sixteen years ago. Next came our complete eat-in kitchen and display unit. It was beautiful then and is still beautiful fifteen years later. It is wonderfully functional and we wouldn’t change a thing. A linen cabinet followed and then a series of storage cupboards. These include a most ingenious piece of design of a false cupboard which hides a doorway to roof space and yet provides unimpeded access – a really great piece of design. The last project was the most difficult, a glass door display cabinet to fit in a triangular space under a staircase. The design and construction surpassed all their previous efforts and as a result we have a stunning display cabinet with a very functional storage area below. Vagn and Arthur are superb designers who work closely with their clients to ensure complete satisfaction. Both construction and installation are benchmarks of quality and precision. They do the job exactly on time. But beyond this they are helpful and friendly in all sorts of ways, even fixing problems not of their own making without a second glance. We were drawn to Dan Kitchens after seeing their designs in magazines and on Houzz. Upon visiting their showroom, Daniel spent well over an hour with us explaining the process of designing a kitchen and highlighting some of the features that Dan provide above other kitchen companies. He was highly professional and took such pride in his work. We knew we would end up with a quality kitchen. After coming to our home and listening to our specific needs he completed a fabulous design that we were very happy with. Every minute detail was confirmed with him prior to it moving to the production stage so there were no surprises at the end. This is very reassuring. The production team headed by Greg and the installation team by Mark were just as professional and careful. Our kitchen was completed on time and looks stunning. From start to finish they were fabulous. We could not recommend Dan Kitchens more highly.

Like anyone in business today the showroom is where a company sets its standards in quality and service, it’s easy to the inundated by the picture perfect environment and the constant pressure from a salesperson/designer to broker a sale…………………… But this is where Dan’s set a new standard. After visiting countless kitchen supplier/designers I was pleasantly surprised by the engagement of Dan’s team provided when visiting their showroom where I wasn’t hassled or pressured, instead allowed to freely roam and closely inspect the display kitchens. The attention to detail in joinery and kitchen layout ideas defiantly sets Dan apart from the rest, then when you think you’ve seen it all, Vagn openly provides a behind the scenes view into the production floor, detailing how the kitchen will be manufactured, from providing in-depth detail of material selection, paint finishing and hardware………. Having spent my career around product design and manufacture is was a reassuring to see the depth of detail that goes into the final product and more importantly the openness and visibility Dan provides throughout the entire design and manufacture process. The next stage of the process is when a well-seasoned designer Arthur begins to best understand his client before commencing with pitching a design, the on-site visit provides an opportunity to share what design features I saw at the showroom and wanted included in the initial design and also allows the designer to present some design features which make use of the space taking into consideration the requirements of the client. Final colour specification is where Bente firstly focuses on determining the colour scheme of the rest of the house to best integrate the new kitchen, her attention to detail also extends beyond just colour selection and looks into the textural and tactile finishes, another area of the design which sets Dan’s apart. Once the design is set the next part of this experience begins……… and again another area where Dan’s team shine. The installation team (Mark and Tim) swing into action with military like precision. From ensuring the installation has minimal impact to the rest of the house and even their willingness to work around other trades persons in the same room. The attention to detail and care taken to ensure the fitment of the kitchen is impeccable…….. but even with the fine tuning of the installation the install team are also considerate with a few minor design tweaks and changes which they easily implement without impact to the installation schedule. Dan where able to provide a straight forward service with clear engagement across the entire project which resulted in a very much appreciated final result.
