The clients approached Dan Kitchens to design a new holiday-home kitchen at Sydney’s Palm Beach. The brief called for a custom kitchen incorporating a large feature island, concealed bar and walk-in pantry. As a new build, the kitchen was planned from the client’s drawings and supported by a photo-realistic design illustration.
The illustration helped communicate the proposed kitchen and showed how the open-plan area would read once complete. The completed kitchen includes a substantial Calacatta marble island, a bar concealed behind pocket doors, premium integrated appliances and a walk-in pantry. The project forms part of Dan Kitchens’ work across Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

In contrast to the island, the other joinery is coloured to blend in with the home. A grey mirror softly reflects the beautiful surroundings.

The rear of the island is packed with motorised drawers, a Miele combi oven and a Vintec Wine Fridge.
The cooking area includes a very practical stainless steel benchtop, large 76cm Wolf oven, induction cooktop and integrated rangehood.

The completed kitchen gives the new holiday home a practical entertaining centre built around a substantial Calacatta marble island. Integrated appliances, a concealed bar and walk-in pantry keep the main kitchen visually restrained while providing the storage and supporting functions required for entertaining and extended stays.
