Newport Beach Kitchen Project

With sublime views of the ocean and Newport Beach, this bespoke kitchen renovation from the team at Dan Kitchens simply takes your breath away. The layout combines a single wall design with island, casual dining, study nook and spacious walk in pantry. Minimalist in design, appliances are concealed/integrated, handles are discreet, and the form is kept geometric and symmetrical. Apart from the gorgeous view, what stands out in this kitchen the bold material and colour palette. White Macaubas stonework, American Oak doors and shelves, and dark grey polyurethane paint combine to harmonise with the newly renovated home.

The homeowners started their kitchen renovation journey by dropping into the Dan Kitchens showroom. They were met by Industrial Designer, Daniel Mazic, who, after scrutinising the architectural plans of their Newport home, suggested several ideas that the homeowners took a liking to. They then commissioned Dan Kitchens to design their kitchen, using the Design Service.

Amongst their aims for the renovations was to open up the kitchen to the outdoor alfresco area so the room would flow better, and take advantage of the amazing ocean views. The homeowners desired a more modern kitchen, with a colour scheme that was in harmony with the rest of the home.

Benchtops and splashbacks in the kitchen feature a beautiful White Macaubas stone, cut from slabs of the same batch.

The Newport kitchen has a striking colour scheme of dark grey door fronts, warm hues from American oak, and neutral greys from the veined White Macaubas stone.

A modern, practical kitchen, with much of the colour palette influenced by the materials found in the newly renovated home.

The Newport Beach kitchen renovation features both touch motorised drawers and lip pull handles.

The large pantry is partially concealed from the living and dining spaces. It includes ample storage, timber shelving for displaying items, a coffee and tea making area, as well as a generously sized wine fridge.

The kitchen renovation provides flow from the living space, to the outdoors, revealing a wonderful view of the ocean at Newport.
