Nestled inside a beautiful modernist home that began its charismatic existence in the 70’s, you will find this Cherrybrook Kitchen. With its grand sloping skillion roofline and modernist aesthetic, this home is the ultimate oasis for a young growing family that appreciates beautiful surroundings and clever design.

With the hope of creating an open plan living space that blurred the lines between the kitchen, dining and family rooms, this young family approached Dan Kitchens to realise their dream. Fortunately, our clients’ vision regarding materials and fine details provided a clearly defined goal for their kitchen, guiding our initial pathway towards an elegant and functional contemporary kitchen transformation.

These parameters greatly assisted Daniel Mazic, one of Dan Kitchens’ talented kitchen designers, in realising a contemporary kitchen design that greatly satisfied the clients’ desires, and neatly defined their ideal floor plan.

After working closely together with the clients, Daniel was able to generate a contemporary kitchen design that opened up the space to the adjoining living areas through the clever reconfiguration of walls, windows and doors. The resulting contemporary kitchen design largely compliments the dining and family spaces, for which the kitchen is now a part.

Dark wood grain creates contrast and is softened by the light shelving and flooring.

Open plan kitchen layout ties the kitchen, dining and family rooms together.

Minimal styling creates a clutter-free kitchen that is highly sophisticated.

Routed door detail seamlessly lines up with the grout lines in the splashback.

Routed doors and drawers add consistency and harmony to the kitchen.

Benchtop shadowline continues the lines displayed in the ceiling trusses and VJ wall panelling.

Marble benchtop brings texture and warmth into the kitchen.

Texture extends into the large door handles, adding warmth and character.

Dark finger pull handles complement the dark wood grain of the wall cabinets.

Luxury appliances such as a V-Zug Downdraft Induction Cooktop and Siemens Combi Steam Oven add a high level of functionality.
