High-End Design Expertise

Breathe New Life Into Your Kitchen

Your kitchen is where your family starts and ends their days, shares stories and meals, and gathers to prepare feasts. No one understands this better than Dan Kitchens, which is why we’ve been renovating family kitchens for 40 years.
We create kitchens that are designed to endure both in style and durability. Rather than following fleeting trends, we focus on timeless beauty, ensuring that each kitchen remains a lasting statement of quality and craftsmanship. A well-designed kitchen is an investment, and one that becomes a cherished part of the home.
With quality hardware, premium custom joinery and a wealth of experience in kitchen renovations, Dan Kitchen can help you reimagine your existing space. Whether you have a concrete vision, need guidance on how to make the most of a small space, or have ideas but don’t know how to execute them, Dan Kitchens can help.
Our Philosophy

The Dan Kitchens Difference

The Dan Kitchens Difference

Receive realistic kitchen renders as part of your design proposal
Truly custom kitchens, designed for your life, are at the heart of what we do at Dan Kitchens. The styles, materials, and building techniques may have changed from our early days, but our principles of creating kitchens that are timeless, thoughtfully designed, well-crafted, and extremely practical, have not.
These principles stem from our Danish heritage, carried over to Australia, and continued by the whole team, many of whom have remained with Dan Kitchens for decades. Together, we pride ourselves on a dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and beautiful design.

Going against the grain, we’ve made a conscious decision at Dan Kitchens to do as much of the work internally. Outsourcing your workforce in the designing, building and installing of kitchens can lead to poor design, conflicting interests,

communication problems and costly mistakes. The Dan Kitchens team are experts in kitchen design, cabinetmaking, fabrication, timber joining, painting, project management and installation. We believe this is the best way to deliver a successful kitchen renovation.

Most homeowners are not project managers, nor should kitchen renovation companies expect them to be. Any kitchen company undertaking a kitchen renovation needs to effectively project manage the renovation on behalf of the homeowner.

That is, communicating regularly with the homeowner, organising schedules, deliveries, trades (plumbers, electricians, stone masons etc), skip hire, and so on. Dan Kitchens Australia has been entrusted by hundreds of Sydney homeowners with their kitchen renovations. Evidenced by dozens of reviews and successfully completed projects, our approach to project management is second to none.

With some kitchen renovations, a builder may be called upon to handle more extensive home alterations. In these instances we can recommend a select group of trusted builders for you, or alternatively work with one of your choosing.

Kitchen renos represent the bulk of our work. With decades of expertise, we’ve successfully completed kitchen renovations of all sizes and complexities throughout Sydney and beyond.

After sales service like no other

We’re firm believers that kitchen companies should stand by their product, even after many years. If a homeowner returns to Dan Kitchens with a problem, we do our utmost to help. That may be altering a cabinet so a new refrigerator can fit in, replacing a broken hinge or organising the repair of a chipped benchtop.

Our Kitchen Renovation Projects

Kitchen Renovation Process

Design Service

Led by our designers, prospective clients benefit from a team of experts collaborating on your project from the get-go. Product designers, interior designers, cabinet makers and 3D artists make up this design team. We approach your project thoroughly and holistically, and when the design team is finished, you can be assured the proposed design not only looks beautiful but is well thought through.

Presentation

Once the team has finished working on your custom joinery design, your Dan Kitchens designer will organise a presentation with you at our showroom. Together with old school hand-drawn plans and elevations, your designer will also present you with material and hardware samples, as well as detailed, transparent costings and options down to the component level. For larger, custom joinery designs, photo realistic renderings may also be provided.

Contract & Insurances

Once you’re happy with the proposed design and costings, we’ll go over the paperwork thoroughly, and you sign a contract for Dan Kitchens to manufacture and install your custom joinery. We also go over any insurances required as part of the Home Building Compensation Fund and the schedule of payments.

Production

At Dan Kitchens, we scan and trace plans in a 3D modelling program, building the kitchen with appliances and room features. Then, we add materials, colours, lighting, and props to create renders. This process takes about 2 days and may involve obtaining accurate 3D models.

Onsite Check Measure

Our production manager arranges to go to your home and measure the project space. They also take photographs and make detailed notes of anything else that may be required to ensure a smooth installation process.

Installation

For most homeowners, this is the stage where you see the most activity. Led by our inhouse installation team, your existing joinery is removed (if required), the space is prepared, and the installers begin building your custom joinery from the ground up. Various specialised tradespeople will come and go (electricians, plumbers, stone masons, etc) but you can be assured that the installation team will be overseeing all work carried out. Once complete, the installation team will run you through the various aspects of your custom joinery, as well as care and maintenance.

After Sales

Our service doesn’t end when we’ve completed your joinery project. We follow up to see how you are going with your new joinery/cabinetry, and if there is anything amiss, we find a solution. If a part fails, even years down the line, we will do our utmost to help. Our many happy clients will attest to this.
